So I fell headfirst into the Generation Kill fandom over the past 4 days, watching the entire thing and then reading all the fic I could get my hands on. I don't know who my favourite is yet. I mean, it's Ray, when it's not Nate, when it's not Brad, when it's not Poke etc. I love them all! Except Trombley. But now I am extra behind on my delicious, ugh.
I've only picked up 2 new shows this year, Glee and the Vampire Diaries. VD I loooove. I wasn't expecting much, I just wanted cheesiness and pretty people, which it has in spades, but it also suprisingly good. Like, I love Elena, I love the Salvatore brothers, I love the relationships, I love the pacing (thnk GOD they're not dragging stuff out, I was worried Elena would only find out about him being a vampire at the end of the season), it's just all really entertaing. Glee...I don't know. The pregnancy storylines bug me and I loathe Terri and Emma needs to stop treating Ken like shit but then they start singing and I forget how annoyed the other stuff makes me. And it does make me laugh, so I guess I'll keep it? *shrug*

The VMAs were a LOT more fun this year than they've been in a while. - Lady Gaga is fucking crazy, I LOVE her! I also lol'd at how the audience gave this huge horrified gasp when she started bleeding.
- I actually enjoyed all the performances this year. Usually I fast-forward through most of it, but this year they had really great ones.
- Russell Brand was sometimes funny, and sometimes obnoxious, so pretty much what I expected. I was surprised that I loved the Tracy Morgan/Eminem thing.
- Kanye, you make it real hard for me to love you. i don't even like Taylor Swift all that much, but that was way out of line. What happened to trying to be a doper person?
- Beyonce is a complete class act, that was really sweet of her.
- Was that Lil Mama on stage at the end with Jay-Z? And why?
- The trailer for New Moon looks, if possible, even more melodramatic than the book. Also, it made me really want to see it.

I got a new mp3 player! It's tiny compared to my iPod (I think it can only hold about 700 songs? :/), but I don't have money for a new one , and at least I have music with me again. I seriously had no idea how much I listened to music till my iPod broke. Never leave me again! Also, the new Jay-Z leaked a couple of days ago. I'm really liking it, which is good because I was kind of underwhelmed by American Gangster. My favourite songs so far are Thank You, Empire State of Mind, On To The Next One and Already Home.
Center Stage 2 was on the other night, and it was awful. My sister and I watched the whole thing because we LOVE the first one (it has ballet sex! What more could you want from a movie?), and we were expecting this one to be just as delightfully cheesy. But no. The lead girl was so annoying, her love interest was not hot and had a wondering accent, Peter Gallagher waxed his eyebrows (why would he do that? I loved them since The O.C.!), Cooper Nielson's hair was really weird and watching him try dance at the club was embarrassing, and the dancing didn't make up for the shitty, shitty acting. (Also, why was everyone so weirdly TAN?) She learned dancing from taping performances on her tv and copying what she saw! Did she seriously think she was going to get into a ballet company? At least Cooper Nielson was still a big ol' ho. And we laughed when it turned out his company failed. I wonder what ever happened to Jodie?

New default icon! It's so pretty, but I feel sad about getting rid of the old one. I also got rid of a few bandom icons I never used, and added some disney ones, seeing as I'm sadly obssessed with all things disney lately. (Wizards of Waverly Place is really good you guys!). Party in the USA has been stuck in my head for a week now. And since I had nothing else to do I watched the Hannah Montana movie with my little cousin. Suprisingly cute, seeing as I HATE the show. I think it's because Mitchel Musso and that other annoying little kid were in it for 5 minutes max.
Started driving lessons today. I'm going to get my licences if it kills me, I'm sick of having to ask my brother to drive me around. Driving a manual is hard though, I've only ever driven an automatic before, so my brain gets stuck on the whole clutch thing.
Short update is short!

I've been playing around with my layouts for the last couple of days! I think this one may last a while, but we'll see. I only got around to watching Miley's Teen Choice Awards performance yesterday, and while I do think that people were way out of line with all the slut and skank talk, I do think that it wasn't a well thought out performance at all. Seriously, did no one watch during rehearsals and think, 'Maybe we should get rid of that ice cream cart thing?'. Oh, Miley. On the plus side, I'm totally loving that song. ( And a jay-z song was on!) Continuing on the Disney vain (oh god, what is my life) I think Joe is now my favourite Jonas after the last couple episodes. He just does smitten so well, it's adorable! I also watched the first 2 episodes of Defying Gravity. ( What? )Oooh, and I started watching Avatar after reading all the wank about the casting, and I love it! I have zero desire to see the movie at all now, knowing how badly they've fucked up on so many aspects (Jasper as Sokka? Really? REALLY?) and also having seen The Happening last week. That was literally the worst movie I've ever seen. The only good thing was reading cleolinda 's movies in 15 minutes about it. I'm just not looking forward to anything else M. Night Shyamalan has to offer.

It's been so cold lately. I'm just going to post some quick Harry Potter thoughts before I freeze to death. So yeah, saw it last night! Like all HP movies, I really enjoyed it when watching, but when I got home I just remembered everything that annoyed me: ( What I Liked )( What I Didn't Like ) But overall I did like it. And I never really expect the movies to be as good as the books anyway.

Reading that MTV article about the panic split just made me >:( at Ryan Ross. Stop being a passive-agressive douchenozzle and phone Pete back, dude. At least Spencer and Ryan are still talking? idk, I'm still sadfacing over it all. In happier news, I've been watching random episodes of Jonas, that show is a delight. eta: lolol pete&ryan
